1. What is a kattuggla?

Kattuggla is a Swedish word. It translates literally to "cat-owl" but refers to Strix aluco, what we call the tawny owl.

2. What do Swedish owls have to do with anything?

Stina is a 4th-generation Swedish-American and a member of Vasa Order. The owl was her middle school and high school mascot, and she is also a member of Mensa, which has the owl as its unofficial mascot. Stina's college mascot was the panther, and she's always been a cat person, so the cat-owl seems particularly appropriate.
